Circle of Chai

What is the Circle of Chai?

The Circle of Chai is comprised of members who have chosen to support JRC with a minimum annual contribution of $1000 above full dues. Circle membership does not denote wealth so much as regard for JRC that is expressed monetarily.

Why it matters

At JRC (as at most synagogues), membership dues cover only a portion of the annual budget-just over 50%. When you join the Circle of Chai, you ensure that JRC continues to offer all our congregants and the community a wide range of worship opportunities, religious and adult education programming, and tikkun olam engagement. These funds go towards Operations and contribute to JRC’s financial stability. Your Circle of Chai membership also continues JRC’s longstanding commitment to welcoming everyone, regardless of ability to pay full dues.

How you can join the Circle of Chai

When you renew your membership each year, you can indicate that you would like to join the Circle of Chai on the renewal form. You can also contribute a minimum of $1000 in donations over the membership year (July-June). These gifts are above and beyond the full dues, as well as religious school, preschool, B’nai mitzvah, Capital Campaign, and Building Fund commitments.
