Circle of Chai

JRC members who provide an annual donation of $1,000 or more above membership and religious school dues are eligible to participate in the Circle of Chai.  The congregation celebrates this group of committed JRC community-builders with an annual recognition event.

Pillars of Chai

In 2007, JRC’s commitment to tikkun olam took the form of a remarkable commitment to building the world’s first LEED Platinum-certified religious building, expressing the congregation’s belief in the primacy of environmental protection as a Jewish value.  JRC’s eighteen spiritual values were physically embedded in the eighteen caissons, or pillars, sunk into the ground under the new building, that literally and figuratively support the congregation.  In 2017 the last stages of campaign for JRC’s future, called the Pillars of Chai campaign, kicked off, to retire the debt that supported the construction of this remarkable building.  Today the Pillars of Chai campaign is more than 90% complete, your donations to the campaign can help the congregation retire the building loan.

The JRC Gala

Each Spring, JRC’s families come together for the year’s most important fundraising event in an evening of music, fun and community, with auctions on community-based and donated items such as restaurant gift certificates, food and drink gifts, and travel and entertainment packages.  To become an underwriter of JRC’s annual event or to inquire about donating goods from your local business to this worthy fundraising event – and put your generosity on display for more than 400 local families – please see the listing of ways to participate.

Annual Phonathon

Each December JRC volunteers come together to call all members of the congregation in a focused fundraising event that also helps to cement the ties of our community.

Giving Stock

Gifts of securities offer significant tax advantages for the donor and are easy to make. These gifts can be used for a specific commitment to JRC or for all of your obligations for the year.
