JRC’s Lakefront Shabbat at Noah’s Playground Led by Cantor Howard Friedland With Musical Accompanist, Anne Wildman, and Guest D’var Giver, Susan Stone

August 9 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

6pm Picnic | 7pm Service

Please note tonight’s different location: Noah’s Playground. Noah’s Playground for Everyone is a fully accessible space where anyone can learn and play regardless of abilities, located in Lawson Park at Sheridan Road and Clinton Place, just north of the Evanston Art Center and the Grosse Point Lighthouse. Noah’s Playground was dedicated in memory of Noah Cutter, son of JRC Members Julie and David Cutter, who was born with neurological conditions and who passed away when he was two years old.

Lakefront Shabbat is the way JRC celebrates summer! Join us each Friday night for a musical, communal Shabbat in nature. Bring your friends and family, grab a blanket and your favorite picnic food, and enjoy Lakefront Shabbat. Come at 6 and bring your picnic dinner followed by our service at 7. Surrounded by nature and the beauty of Lake Michigan, this spiritually uplifting (and dog-friendly) service feels a bit like summer camp and a bit like Ravinia and entirely like JRC. Curious about JRC and this wonderful community? You are welcome! No need to register, just show up and bring your authentic self. If you have any questions, email info@jrctogether.org.

Tonight’s service will be led by Cantor Howard Friedland with musical accompanist, Anne Wildman, and JRC member, and guest d’var giver, Susan Stone.

Lakefront Shabbat services are livestreamed on JRC Facebook Page for those preferring to join virtually. You do not need a Facebook account to view the livestream (just click the X if it asks you to log in). Click here to view our full Lakefront Shabbat schedule.

See you at the Lakefront!
