JRC is a proud member organization of Interfaith Action of Evanston (IAE). Join IAE for their 5th annual Walk for Warmth in the fight against homelessness and hunger in our community. Help carry on Dr. King’s legacy and continue his fight for economic, social, and racial justice. Note that you don’t have to complete the full walk to participate! There are many ways to support – donating or sponsoring are just as impactful. Registration and details.
The forecast is for frigid temps- brrr. We will NOT be following the traditional 2-mile Walk route this year. Instead, we invite you to join us for a short walk around the block following the program. If you do not wish to walk, you may remain in the First United Methodist Church sanctuary until the walkers return. Whether or not you plan to walk, please join us for the program, music, and a chance to gather with some very caring people, your fellow supporters of the Walk for Warmth.
