Join Stages Chicago in the musical retelling of the Book of Exodus with the Prince of Egypt. We meet Moses just as he discovers his roots as a Jewish slave, and he embarks on a quest to free his people from bondage. When his plea is denied by his brother Rameses, a series of plagues strike Egypt. Moses finally leads the Israelites to freedom and the promised land. The 45-minute performance will be followed by an opportunity to create Passover-themed art and schmooze with other families. Doors open at 3:00 pm.
This event, co-sponsored by PJ Library, is perfect for families with young children, geared towards children 6 and under. The performance is interactive and engaging, using the iconic Prince of Egypt music to bring the Passover story to life in a way that’s geared towards young children!
