Youth and Teen Programming
Check out JRC’s Youth Group! Each year, we have great activities for kids and teens from 6th-12th grade – a wonderful way to build community and connections at JRC. The kids have enjoyed broomball, SkyHigh, Pump it Up, campfire shabbat dinners, skiing and snowboarding, Shabbat with kids from other religious organizations, meditation, movies, and so much more.
Every year JRC’s 6th – 12th graders enjoy a great weekend with their friends (old and new) from JRC, Shir Hadash in Wheeling as well as Reconstructionist youth from all around the region.
The kallah programming is planned and created by teens for teens. The staff is comprised of youth leaders, clergy, educators and other experienced adults. More than 25 teens attended last year’s kallah and this year 25 joined throughout the weekend for our first virtual youth Kallah.
Youth Kallah is always a tremendous weekend of fun, discovery, hanging out, playing, and engaging in Jewish activities and is a great chance to get to know other JRC students, as well as peers from around the region.
