Families New to JRC
If you’re searching for the right Jewish learning experience for your kids, try a taste-test of our programs. With the Taste of JRC, you will be able to sample classes, talk with our caring, accomplished teachers, and get to know our community.
Our community is a special and meaningful one that emphasizes connection and participation for your whole family. Every child in JRC’s program gets to spend time with our clergy. Not only will your child’s Jewish growth be nurtured in our program, you will be a member of our supportive community as well.
For a limited time, we are offering new families a chance to taste Kehillah’s delicious offerings. You and your child can participate in school and holiday programming for six weeks—and it’s only $54 per learner. After you get to know our community for 6 weeks, if you decide to enroll your learner in Kehillah the $54 fee will be deducted from tuition.
This Wonderful Program Includes:
- Enrollment in Kehillah classes for six weeks
- All-school Chodesh Shabbat (Family Day)
- Parent coffee with Executive Director Micky Baer and the JRC President, Hannah Shearn
- Conversation with Rabbi Rachel Weiss, Cantor Howard Friedland, and Director of Education, Lauren Reeves
- JRC programs and events
- Tickets to all 5785 (2024) High Holiday Services and Programming for your household
- Winter participants: Tu Bishvat event
Want a B’nai Mitzvah? Think Ahead!
If you’ve been thinking about having a b’nai/b’rit mitzvah for your child, now might be the time to enroll them in Kehillah. Our b’nai mitzvah dates are set in 5th grade, and we usually require students to attend 5th and 6th grade classes at JRC to be eligible for this ritual. Students start learning prayers and Hebrew for the ceremony as early as 3rd grade.
