4th-6th Grade Family Field Trip

Kehillah 4th-6th grade families will take a field trip to Chicago Jewish Funerals in Skokie (8851 Skokie Blvd.) on Sunday, February 9, 10:00–11:30 am. Parents are invited and encouraged to stay. Chicago Jewish Funerals will give the Kehillah group a tour, some information about Jewish funeral and mourning customs, and time for questions and answers.

This opportunity aligns with the 4th grade unit about life cycles and helps older learners “catch up” by participating in a field trip that Kehillah has not offered in a couple of years. This experience is one that parents sometimes feel trepidation about beforehand and remark afterward about how important and engaging it was.
