From Shofar to Shofar: We celebrate our gathering and the joy of the New Year! Join us in this uniquely JRC tradition. Greet friends and community of all ages as we walk a loop along the lakefront with 7 shofar stations. Sing with our clergy and the JRC Choir and sound the shofar across the community – bring a shofar and bring friends! Note: this will be JRC’s only Erev Rosh Hashanah observance.
Shofar Walk Accessibility Information
To accommodate a large number of participants, there will be two sound systems stationed throughout the walk. Additionally, any person needing hearing assistance can open our Facebook Livestream and connect the audio directly to their hearing aids or headphones.
The walk will be approximately one mile and last for about an hour. We welcome those who are unable to walk the full route to bring a chair and join the group staying together at the first stop (which is also the last stop).
