IJTF Screening + Discussion

Please join the IJTF on December 10th from 1:00pm-4:00pm in JRC’s second floor double classroom.

We will screen a documentary called Seeking Asylum, focused on the immigration crisis at the U.S./Mexican border that is impacting cities all over the country. Chicago has received over 14,000 migrants and refugees seeking asylum since August of 2022 and the numbers are expected to grow in the near future.

The film bears witness to the impact of the laws and global issues of the past decade leading to the influx of people seeking asylum and the barriers they face.

We will have an opportunity to ask questions and go deeper into the issue with an immigration lawyer.

We will light the 4th night Hanukkah candles and share some snacks as well.
