Shabbat of Grief and Hope: Kabbalat Shabbat Service with Rabbi Rachel Weiss and Cantor Howard Friedland

This Shabbat, we mark Yom Ha’Atsma’ut and Yom haZikaron, the observance of the Independence of the State of Israel, the Day of Remembrance.  In this moment of trauma and war in Israel and Gaza, we will hear expressions of song, poetry, and prayer from JRC members in our varied voices as we observe this moment together and share our hopes and prayers for a peaceful future.

As Yom HaShoah takes place on Monday, April 24, we will include special Holocaust memorial prayers before Kaddish as we remember together.
