Lakefront Shabbat With Ice Cream Truck, Potluck, and Soreh Rosenblum Meet & Greet, Honoring Our Chesed Committee; Led by Ann Dolinko, Carrie & Jeremy Elsberg, Alexa Dolinko, and Sara Friedman

Tonight’s Lakefront Shabbat is filled to the brim! We’ll begin at 5:30 pm with a Tot Shabbat led by Soreh Rosenblum, our new Director of Education, followed by a Community Potluck with an Ice Cream Truck (complimentary to JRC members and guests) from 6pm-7pm. This is a wonderful chance to meet and welcome Soreh to the JRC community.
At 7pm we’ll have a beautiful lakefront service led by JRC member Ann Dolinko with musical accompanists Carrie & Jeremy Elsberg and Alexa Dolinko. As co-chair of our search committee, Sara Friedman will share some words about Soreh and she’ll give our d’var. Plus we’ll also have a chance to honor and learn more about our Chesed Committee with chairs, Terri Bernsohn and David & Julie Cutter. What a night!
**Bring a nut-free, vegetarian dish to share for the Community Potluck!**

7:00 pm Service
All summer long, JRC moves our sanctuary to the Evanston lakefront, with outdoor services surrounded by nature and the beauty of Lake Michigan. This spiritually uplifting (and child and dog-friendly) service feels a bit like summer camp, a bit like Ravinia, and entirely like JRC. Bring your family and friends. Lakefront Shabbat is a wonderful opportunity to learn about JRC. Services will be livestreamed on the JRC Facebook Page for those preferring to join us virtually. We meet Fridays at Elliot Park with a few exceptions. Check our our evolving Lakefront Shabbat calendar. We’ll be adding details about musical accompanists and member d’var givers throughout the summer.
In the case of inclement weather, check this calendar listing after 3:30pm on the day of Lakefront Shabbat for updated information.
