Movement-Wide Program Rebecca Clarren Book Discussion: The Cost of Free Land

On Sunday, March 2, 2025, author Rebecca Clarren, a member of Reconstructionist congregation Havurah Shalom in Portland, OR, will speak about her book, The Cost of Free Land, in a movement-wide program that will include a Q&A with the author. We encourage our congregations and havurot to read this work of investigative journalism and personal family history together. This Reader’s Guide from publisher Penguin Random House can help facilitate what’s bound to be a rich, thought-provoking discussion.
