The Blessing of a Skinned Knee: A Series On Values-Based Parenting

The Blessing of a Skinned Knee by Wendy Mogel encourages parents to step away from perfectionism and overprotection. Instead, it inspires a grounded, Jewish values-based approach in which children are guided—not shielded—into becoming resilient, responsible, and grateful human beings. We’ll meet together to talk about Jewish parenting and support one another in this journey! Most appropriate for families with children ages 1-8 years old.
This book talk is facilitated by Robin Byster, JRC Member and Early Childhood Consultant and Child Care Director.
Sat, Jan 24 | Week 1 Topics: The Blessing of a Skinned Knee: Why Struggle Helps Children Grow
Sat, Feb 28 | Week 2 Topics: Building Responsibility and Independence
Sat, Mar 14 | Week 3 Topics: Cultivating Gratitude and Appreciation and Setting Limits with Love
