The Parents Circle Families Forum: Listening from the Heart

April 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

As part of Kehillah’s commitment to social justice and tikkun olam, repairing our world, we are offering this very special event for teens in 7th-12th grade and a trusted adult.

Listening from the Heart is a transformative program offering communities a chance to engage in meaningful dialogue about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from a human perspective.

Via video, we will be hearing the personal narratives of two mothers, one Israeli and one Palestinian, who lost children due to the conflict. Members of JRC’s Israel Palestine Working Group will then use the Listening from the Heart comprehensive Facilitator’s Guide, to facilitate dialogue and conversation that fosters understanding, empathy, and reconciliation.

6-6:30pm | Potluck (bring a vegetarian, nut free dish to share)
6:30-8pm | Facilitated Program

Participation details:
-Teens in 7th-12th grade must have a trusted adult with them for this conversation
-Bring a dish to share at the potluck (nut free and vegetarian, please)
-Review JRC’s Covenant of Speech before the program to help guide productive dialogue.

This is a program of the American Friends of the Parents Circle Families Forum: Palestinian and Israeli Bereaved Families for Peace.
