Session 1: End of Life Dying, and Death in Jewish Traditions, Led by Rabbi Rachel Weiss

Join Rabbi Rachel for a spiritual and practical exploration of Jewish end-of-life rituals. Explore Jewish theology and beliefs around death, dying, and the afterlife. Learn the specific rituals before, during, and after death, and how to prepare and make practical plans.

This workshop is part of our 3 part series, and is ideal for people who want to explore end of life issues, have aging parents and family members, do not yet have end of life plans in place, and want to learn about death and dying with Judaism as your guide. This event will be both in-person at JRC and on Zoom.

In addition to this series, JRC’s Where To Age Discussion Group’s March 1 program will be joined by Rabbi Rachel for a thoughtful and compassionate conversation: Dying to Know, a Casual Q&A,` exploring how Jewish tradition helps us approach the end of life with dignity, intention, and care.
